MOPS Points Table

The Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine currently uses the Maintenance of Professional Standards (MOPS) Program to validate the continuing medical education activities of fellows.  The Program seeks only to determine a minimum level of post-trainee medical education although it is recognised that many Fellows far exceed these requirements.

Increasingly, government authorities are requiring participation in a College/Faculty's MOPS Program for consultant or specialist registration.  While this Faculty's MOPS Program remains voluntary for Fellows, it is strongly recommended that Fellows, particularly those who undertake medico-legal work or provide expert opinion, do participate, even in jurisdictions that currently make no requirement.  Please note that the Faculty will not supply a letter confirming participation in the program, unless points are current and  have been notified.
